Ok so I am not content with my current horsepower on my 1990 crx of 60hp so I am going to purches a B16A engine so that should solve my hp problem :)
My Crx is an automatic and I want to get it change to a stick so how much should I expect in cost for a shop to do this for me? I know the engine will cost about $1700 with all the stuff I need with it. I have about $8000 but I am not looking to spend all of that on this "little" project. How much will should I expect for a shop to swap this for me?

Next Question - Is this even possible with out having to change the body dramaticly? I am only going to get the trany changed to a stick once I get the engine cause it is pointless with out it really. If you all could tell me what problems are normaly associated with this process that would be great cause I would like to know what I am getting into here.
Thanks alot :)

Frankly, why have a shop do it? A few friends and it can be done in a weekend, the auto-manual does not require tearing the body up to do, and the B16 needs very minor (hammer) mods. Just search and make sure you get the axles, mounts ecu linkage etc... , the right part the first time and it's cake....Sorry I couldn't give you a price estimate but I don't go near shops, If I can't do it myself than it's probably totaled.....

a shop will charge you around 3k to do the swap, that includes them getting the motor and stuff for you.
