You’d be complaining if it looks like nighttime all day and the rain just keeps going all day, every day. :(

Rain...I have seen it once, this year. .03 inch, to be exact. :( Must be nice. I like overcast skies. The humidity here is 0%. Has been 0% more than 3/4 of the days this year. :(

Sick of the rain here too. All the playing and training grounds are closed.....Pman dont like grounds closed on weekends as its a good way to take out all your agro on the other team from a shity week at work !!!

PS...You Aucklanders make sure you keep that storm up your way and dont send it down this way

Sounds a bit like Pittsburgh...

The skies are gray almost every day from mid-October through mid-May... This year it wasn't quite so bad, but then again we got no snowfall. Now it's our nicest season yet. :D

I don't work the graveyard shift and I still don't see the daytime. When I go to work now it is dark when I leave work it is also dark and the only light we get in the workshop is flourescent lighting :(

Give me sunshine any day. Rainy days are no fun when you have no one to keep you warm:(

Ill second that notion!

Know any lonely single women in the Auckland area? (FTO dosn't count :p )

Anyway I just hope it stop raining from 5am till about midday tomorrow.
Im not bothered about getting wet, but Auckland traffic is bad enough on Friday, let alone when combined with a storm.
And as much as I hate the truck, I would hate to right it off on some dumb soccer mum becasue she couldn't judge just how long it takes a truck to stop in the wet.

Well the battery back up dosnt work on my alarm, and my watch isnt loud enough to wake me.
so if it goes off here all of east Auckland is going to get thier bread late. :D

and im one hell of a lot more isolated than you are powerwise.
infact im amazed it hasnt gone off already, or that there hasnt been another smash on the main road.

The weather today is Auckland is terrible.

Who had to drive over the harbour bridge today? The windgusts are so strong, you've got to fight to keep your car on the road. Then the whole northern motorway was almost solid water, ever couple of metres my car started aqua-planeing.

I've seen plently of firetrucks out tonight, and trees blown onto roads. There were even windows getting blown out of buildings in the city. Shesh the one day I actually had to go into the city!

luckily I live, work and play on the shore so I don't have to brave the bridge in weather like this.

passed 2 accidents on the way home between glenfield and Albany, some poeples driving is absolute crap

sarujin
06-20-2002, 06:57 AM
Yeah well I normally only have to drive on the shore, but I was applying for a career for next year.

I didn't see any accidents which suprised me, as I had one Legacy past me and he was going atleast 120 or so, everyone else was cruising along at about 85.

Going over the bridge most people were going about 50ish, and that was at 4pm just before rushour. This weather is pretty horrible, my house is up on a hill on the East Coast Bays, and has taken quite a battering. I just found out some of the deck furniture is broken, and the barbeque cover is kind of missing.

and my computer is all wet now!

So bloody wet last night I stayed at work!
Had to put rags under the roller door to the work shop to stop the wind blowing water under it. Still got lots done on the car.

Mrs Panda drove over the bridge to stay as well.
She came over around 4pm & said it was pretty slow & that the water was being blowen over the rocks onto the motorway.

Hey! Watch out for the yellow snow Mr T.:D :p :D :p :D

The Panda hates the yellow snow!!!

Maybe my car is just really aerodynamic but I found driving over the bridge no problem.

Though going up the motorway home at about 90kmh it did feel as though it was aqua-planing.

I was being my usual niteowl self last night when The Weather Channel turned up a somewhat disturbing radar image... The smoke from the AZ fire was turning up as cloudy particulates on the radar... a false glimmer of hope for those who thought it was rain. :(

We've had nothing but sun here, which would have been a bad thing earlier this Spring... We were on drought watch and were hoping for a good soaking rain. Thankfully we've nearly caught up and can enjoy our good fortune with the weather for now.

had to open my big mouth :( typical of the UK weather it was sunny all morning and fro most of the afternoon, whilst I was in watching the footie...soon as I decide to go out later in the day it starts to rain...:(
