seatbelt malfunction

sometimes my electric seatbelt doesn't move forward when I open my door and I have to release it manually. My chiltons book doesn't even mention seatbelts. Anyone else encounter this? Is it a difficult fix?

lol my passenger seatbelt does the same thing, it sux
