Ok so heres the deal. I am a very hard gainer i eat 4-6 times a day high protein and carb foods, I even eat before i go to bed but to no avail. I don't get to work out as much as i used to but when i did i was able to start gaining albeit very slowly but some none-the-less. My work schedule and being a single father doesnt permit me to work out as i used to. Any other ideas?

Ever tried weight gainers? They come in flavored powder form you mix with either milk or water. I used them before for about 6 months with some gym time and I've gone from 140~ to 160~

Nah never even heard of them. Where you get them from?GNC? I usually got my protein/creatine from walmart and never seen anything for weight gain only to loose weight.
How much they usually run?

I go to GNC myself but generally they are incredibly overpriced. A weight gainer may help but you said you were gaining some muscle slowly before, so it seems you have an o.k diet for gaining mass. I would do some research and experiment with different types of workouts. You may not need to work out nearly as much as you think.

im in the same boat as you my friend, skinny ass with a super high metabolism. So far i really havent found anything that will work for me. I tried the weight gainers before, didnt work either. YOu need to drink so much of the stuff and its not good. Despite what people say. Its like drinking sludge.
So far the best things i have found are eating lots of food and taking a supliment like creatine. Even with that though, my gains are so minimal its hard to stay motivated to work out. Also your body doesnt have much of a fat reserve, which is a key part in building muscles. Ive found that working out for like 3 weeks straight 3 times a week, then taking a week off helps alot.

that was my routin there for awhile, but due to work schedule and babysitting issues I kind of fell away from it.
A guy I work with said drinking ensure(i think) will help gain weight. Just told me yesterday. but he said you got to drink a 6 pack a day or something like that plus maintain my eating schedule.
What kind of foods are good in complex carbs?
Ironic everyone is trying to lose weight but there are a few who want to gain it.

not really too sure on what foods contain complex carbs, i just got for anything with high carbs.
My meals usually consist of this
Pancakes for breakfast one serving usually has close to 80 grams of carbs in it, or about 30% of your daily need. PLus pancakes are cheap. You can get a box for like 3 bucks, all you do is add water, and it last for about 14 days.
SOme kinda breaded sandwich for lunch
Pasta for dinner
in between i will try and eat fruit, drink lots of milk, eat a few eggs, maybe a salad.
