Hello to all,
I have a few friends who are mechanic's and are interested in using laptops(or computers) to scan or troubleshoot problems.
I have seen a few OBD to serial cables(including software) online(though a google search)
does anyone here use or have used their computer to scan vehicles?
are there any that comes with OBD 1,2 to usb.
and what would you look for when buying one?
I would like to see all but it would be nice to get something at a good price and then the extras can be added later. everyone is on a budget :)
Thanks in advance

As of now, out of the 3 inquires I have received(about laptop/pc scanners) only one person is wants to order right now!
So out of the list of software they want to try http://www.autotap.com/
Once setup and used I will report back the users comments about autotap and how they feel it compares to a regular scanner
Thanks
