I have a 2000 GP GT with the regular climate control. Is it possable to just go to the junk yard and pick up a duel climate head unit and plug it in? If not what would I have to do to make it work, or is it even possable at all? THANKS.

Nope sorry. You would have to switch out all the duct work and wiring to make it happen. But..... if you got the time and money nothing is impossilbe

correct me if im wrong but i think theres 2 seprate lines that come through the dash for the air of each side for cars that were designed with dual climate, at least thats what i noticed when i had my dash beizel off.

I have dual climate.....lets just say that sometimes...simple is better. Had trouble with it over the summer last year. Got it fixed....but.....was wishing at the time it was just regular climate control. My 2 cents?? Leave that thing alone.....dont even put that dually in there!!! LOL

I bet that was expensive!! My head went bad wouldn't read the correct outside temp dealer wanted $375 my cost so I went to a junk yard and got it. Picked up the 2000 and newer units I think they fixed a few things on them.

Yep.....also...that nice little temp sensor up by the front the car goes out quit often. Thats a real joy in the summer when the damn compressor wont kick because it thinks it's 30 degrees outside. Wanna quick cure for that? Pull the power from the vehicle......then reconnect. When the CC comes back up....it will think it is 60 degrees. Unplug the temp sensor up front and the temp will hold there until you can get another one and plug it in.

Yep......dual climate control is just swell! LOL

What I find interesting about the auto dual digital climate control system is the diagnostics mode that never tells you what the problem really is.

Plus it is very difficult going into diagnostics mode when the LCD driver is out and when your problem is there is no display.

So far, no problems with my Dual climate control, knock on wood. My wife is a human ice cube, so I like it. I can set mine where I'm comfortable and she can set her side to roast. She still gripes that only my seat is heated and power adjustable though.
