For some reason I don't think they get the respect that they should get. 4 albums now and not to many people talk about them. I personally think that each album they are getting better. More melodic yet they still keep the riffs and double bass drum beats that will pummel you to the ground. Not to mention when i saw them in concert from their first album they were much better than half the other bands.
Anyone else want to chime in on the subject?

I like 'em. I think Lost and Found is their best overall album, but all four have their high points. Saw them two times this summer (Ozzfest and the night after on an off day) and they were sweet both times. Still don't know why Chad Gray even bothers with the fur jumpsuit when it's 95 degrees out but it was amusing.

twice...lol
metal is pretty broad i think, and primus falls in there imo. frog brigade maybe, or maybe more of a jamband... i dunno. Anyway, since its broad, diff styles and stuff, there's prob a lot of bassists worthy of the "best" title.
all around? i'd definitely be unable to find that one. my all time fav though is Flea, hands down. you can say all you want about how there are better bassists out there, and there are, but Flea's the man

Primus is there own genre isn't anything else out there like them
Flea was considered the best there for awhile
I got to go for Cliff Burton and ol boy from limp cuz he could throw down some mean base lines as well

There are lots of good bassists out there worth a mention but I just love Ryan's style. Especially since Mudvayne is so damn heavy. It's rare to find a stand-out bassist in that style of music.

honest to god, i think mudvayne will become a metallica one day. They're kicking ass, and i agree they are sounding even better. i said b4 i didn't take to them at first much, but unlike most metal bands, they're pretty unique in their style of rhythm, and they flow serious energy live. I only hope they don't die on a down note as metallica has. Sry, its as if their talent left them as they cut their hair.

best bassists; can't forget Béla Fleck

Thats what they get for nonstop touring for five yrs for the black album. When they got around to makin another album Nirvana and grunge were the in thing for music so they tried to go more alternative:headshake didn't work well for them though there were still a few good songs. When they finally tried going back to their roots it was to late they lost touch with their old school halves. MUdvayne I don't think will do that otherwise they would of tried it already to sell more albums. Other bands out there sell more than they do but sound like shit and mudvayne know it but it doesnt bother them. thank god

Thing with Mudvayne is they never really strayed from their roots like Metallica did. There are virtually no comparisons between The Black Album and Load whereas all Mudvayne albums sound different, but you can still tell right off the bat it's Mudvayne just based on the style of it all.
