well, i am going to get out of the import scene soon and buy one car instead of having a winter and summer car. i want something w/ luxury but not a high price tag. i will probably be buying a 2000, v8, and hopefully most of the options. i have been looking a little bit at LS's and absolutely love them. my friend has one and i have liked it since i rode in it. i found a few with about 70,000-90,000 miles for around 10-12,000 which will be my price range. anybody got any tips of what to get, what not to get, etc. i really am serious about buying one, but it won't be until early summer.

Look for a 2001 or 2002 LS instead of a used 2000. Since 2000 was the first model year LS there were some issues that were fixed in 2001 and 2002. They are a very good car and dependable as long as you keep it maintained. I have a 2001 LS and love it.

I had two problems that were fixed by the dealer. One was a hard starting issue that the dealer had to replace 4 fuel injectors. The other is that the passenger side A/C did not work. They replaced DATC under warranty. Other than that it's been routine maitenance. I have 82,000 miles on my LS and it has been pretty much trouble free.

Yes it is factory. It is the Midnight Grey Metallic code TV. It was only available on the 2000 and 2001 LS. It was replaced in 2002 with the Charcoal Grey Metallic.
