Well I got me a new toy.....It's a 1981 K10. I put a 283 bored .060 over with 350 heads on it with a 76cc chamber, w/ 1.94 Intake/1.60 Exhaust. We are figuring it is going to have about 12.5 : 1 compression. It still needs some work, but the body is in decent shape and the tranny and everything is good. I put new lock out hubs in it the other day, I have the engine dropped in and I am really close to having it going. I need to do some odds and ends, vacuum lines and such. Oh and I need a new distributor, but I bought one on ebay for 10.50!!!! I also have to put the exhaust manifolds back on it. Anyway, here are some pictures, Like I said it still needs some work, so we will see what it looks like in about 2 weeks.

I gotta admit that I am a sucker for 81-86 chevy trucks. I got an 86 k10 that I am going to rebuild.

I got this from my father in law. It has around 250k on the body and trans, new clutch and other what not.... We pulled a 350 out of it, it spun a rod bearing and it was driven anyway, well the crank is trash. Anyway this thing has had several different engines in it. Randy bought it new and it had a 250 straight six in it. He then put a 400 small block in it and then his 454, then the worn out 350. Anyway, I hope to have this running by the weekend. Then I have to change the gears in the rear end. Randy thinks the original gears were 3.73's, we need to find out for sure, but anyway he had to change them while he was out of state and he threw in what he could get his hands on, they are 2.08's, needless to say the 4x4 really doesn't do much good with 2 different speed tires!
