Hey guys, I'm looking for one of those older car kits that has the engine with the crankshaft and other engine parts in it. I've seen them before but cant remember who made them or what car it was. I think it was a ford model that was made by R/M or AMT, I'm just not sure. Any help is appreciated or if anyone has one they wish to let go pm me.

The tri-year Chevys from Revell, originally issued back in the early '60's, are some that have them... - Mark

I dont think so, this is just a normal model kit that has the crankshaft in it and you can see where the cyliders are at on the block underneath where the heads go.

AMT made a lot of those. I think the '49 Ford is one of the number.

The AMT '58 Impala has the parts you're looking for.

Well to be honest I know it sounds dumb but I want to try to make all the internal parts move like the real thing. I had thought of using a small cd player motor with guitar string attatched to turn the crank which then moves the pistons up and down. Anyway I just thought it would b something neat to try.

I thought one of the 'parts pak' engines had all that...
