Bump Stops

Where can I find rear bump stops for a 85, 2.8? They also might be called rear axle suspension bumpers.

Thanks

Do you mean bushings?. The rubber things around your sway bar? or do you mean Sway bar end links, thin metals rods with bushing on each end that are at each end of the sway bar?

bump stops are not the bushings.....there the rubber blocks that are attached to the frame so that when or if the suspension bottoms out it hits them and the tires dont rub the fenders or you dont have metal on metal hiting anywere or shocks blowing out.

Im sure they were probably all the sme on all 82-92 fbody cars... ask someone thats parting out a used car or get them from a upickjunkyard probably your cheapest places.

I meant the rubber blocks attached to the frame. I can find the front ones but not the rear.

I'll check the local salvage yard.

Thanks

They're on 4th gens too but one of mine fell off and I ripped the other one off... it was an ounce or so that my car didn't need :grinyes:

After doing some research I've found out they are called Jounce Bumpers. The GM Part # is 10164173. I believe they are on all 3rd and 4th gen camaros. The dealer wants $28.00 - $32.00 for one. I didn't see any on the energy susp. site for these cars. There is one for a 76-86 jeep (Part # 99137) which has the same bolt pattern on the web site and looks pretty well the same. It might work. Also a local auto parts store can order them (for jeep) for $21.00 per pair. I might try that.

Thanks
