has anyone read the new issue of motor trend magazine? the altima with the new 3.5 liter VQ engine in it posted a 0-60 of 6.23 seconds and a quarter mile of 14.8 (or was it 14.7?). Well next time i post a message I'll post the exact info (all the test data), forgot the mag at home. see-ya.

Will the price be about the same, because if so I think I might consider getting one, not sure though.............. (Couldn't afford a new Maxima)

The Pre-Production Altima that MT tested was a 5 speed manual. No one knows of cost yet, but rumours have it (and I hope they are true) of a loaded 3.5 SE topping $24K. The facelifted for 2002 Maxima will have a 6 speed manual tranny in October. All the information you need is at: http://www.nissannews.com
