Solo Baric L7

Currently have 2 12 kicker comp and a 250.2 kicker amp. I have an oppurtunity to buy 1 12 solo baric L7. Is it worth it? Plus what could i sell my other subs and amp for?

yeah i think you should do it. youll get more output with the L7. youll see a big difference, esp. if you port it.

you prolly wont be able to get more than 150-200 for your current setup.

Just went and got it. Havent hooked it up yet.... not to bad for 250 bucks. Building a folded horn design for the box. Bridging a 250.2 amp, i know its not the right RMS but for now it will have to do i guess. What do you think i could reach (dB wise)? Jus wondering.

haha you know how to build a folded horn but your asking what db you can hit?

You're puting an L7 in a folded horn?! Good luck, that suckers gotta be huge.

If you're stuck on horns, I'd recommend a rear loaded folded horn, all self contained in one rectangular enclosure. You get the crispness from the face of the driver, the volume from the ported enclosure, and the amplification from the horn port.

Look into spiral horns, they've turned 30hz from a 3" driver pretty reliably.

250 isn't that horrible even though it's a 12. My friend has a 10 L7 in a sealed enclosure with 250 and is damn loud.

Ya a local car shop had a "sale" going on which is where the basically sell all their 2005 shit a LITTLE cheap than what it was. I figure a 2ohm 700 RMS sub especially an L7 for 250 isnt THAT bad so i went ahead and got it... now jus gotta sell the 2 i got to make room for these.


BTW i dont know how to build the folded horn but my friends do so we are going to be building it this weekend supposedly. Thats why i asked the dB's
