Wheel bearings

new to forum, first posting. I have a whinning noise in 98 Chevy s-10 blazer, comming from left front. I have a little vibration from this. When I turn my steering to the left, it will quit. No noise when stopped. I am thinking wheel bearing, but would appreciate other thoughts on this. If it is, what is involved in replacing it. Thanks roberrict
