Standard Generator or Alternator conversion?

It has a Standard Generator in it.

The voltage regulator doesn't need to be polarized. They aren't polarity sensitive.

What trouble are you having? Not charging? Over charging?

my genarator light is on,and battery will not hold charge .one time before this happened after i replaced the genarator .called my local vw parts place and a guy walked me through how to pollarize it,and it was done at the voltage regulator,so i guess i need to know how to polarize the genarator does anybody know how?
