Pete, on the vid, it is hard to hear it actually :p

I'm sure it was more audible in person.

I have a feeling that the VTEC didn't ngage to tell you the truth - that would explain the crap figures - I wonder if they hit 8000 or had the engine at WOT or if they just ramped it up slowly and didn't put the boot in.

That's the sound of your exhaust falling off... again

shhhhhhh....don't say that she'll hear you :p

hmmmm....and another integra driver told me he changed his exhaust, and now has a straight through, which is about the same noise level as mine :p

Somehow I think it'd be louder than yours - I ran 2 hot dog mufflers on my SBC for a while and it was a lot louder than your 'teg. I ended up putting a baffled muffler on as I couldn't think with the damn thing running :D

Crazy exhausts. Goo fun. Shy not the SiR? BTW, did anyone see the Cyber kit for 4th gen Civics in this months Hot4s? Very nice. Traditional Cyber, but still cool. It's in the bit at the front. I think it's called the low down. And I still haven't seen that fugly green Exa someone was crapping on about.

Cyber is just ghey, end of story. Sorry, but I hate what the did to the CRXs - rice is too good a term for the crap they come up with. The 4G mugen kits for the 4G look a hell of a lot nicer. Buddy kits in the US are ok too.

The SiR is getting a set of headers, 2 1/4 inch mandrel bent system incorporating a high flow cat and a high flow muffler. Oh, and I'm keeping the SiR tips ;) Going to hold on until I get my HSC marking cash - I'm about to pick up some cash from Macquarie Uni for the master teacher work I've been doing - but that's going into one or two other things ;)

Sorry Moppie - looks like you will have the "most stock" SiR on the forums - the bug has bitten ;)

I'm getting them to disassemble the old exhaust though rather than cut it up - I want the opportunity to return to stock if I feel like it :)

About the stick thing. ONly mod if it's an improvement. Why go backwards?

Setanta

stick = stock?

The reason is that the care is pretty damn rare. It will continue to get that way as more and more get crushed in Japan, leaving the Singapore copies the only ones, plus small volume exports. I discount the LHD drive ones, they aren't SiRs but VTs.

Anyway, having owned a modified S800, you can get more for them if in stock form rather than modified. It's a sense of heritage rather than evolution :)

Yes. care=car?
hehe

OK about the stock thing - but taking something rare and improving on it. Rare and cool!

Yeah I know - but I would kill for another RS1200 SBC Civic in stock trim, not to mention a formula Mugen 1170 in stock trim - they all got crushed unfortunately in Japan.

Heheh - go to a Jag concourse and see what I mean - I saw a guy lose 20 points in the judging because he had an aftermarket hose clamp on his XK120 instead of a reconditioned one. Hell, a guy who restored a D-type spent a fortune searching the world for the parts for it - all original.

Not that the SiR is a D-type - I wish ;)
