Ok, have been through the wringer on this one!!

It is a 1994 Chevy Lumina APV with a 3.8 L Engine 158k miles.

I have had wiring harnesses checked, faulted neutrals looked for, and have had the following replaced:

Plugs and Wires, Cam Pos. Sensor, Crank Pos. Sensor, Fuel Pump Module, Starter, Ignition Switch...next???

Fuel Filter, Pressures and spark are all good.

I have not tried looking at the EGR valve, ECM/PCM, or the MAF Sensor yet. Actually after I got home I tried tapping on the MAF to see if it would drop out, but nothing happened.

It has been having a rough time starting...have as of late had to go 6 or 7 times to turn it on then off with stops inbetween each and luckily get it to start after about the 6th try. It used to be just once and then turn it on again and it's like a brand new car??

Anyway...details are that the car will have a rough time starting. When I turn the key I can hear the fuel pump kick on and then I turn the key to start the car it idles/chugs for a few secs, then sputters out. Have been to my local mech. and he is at a loss. Dealer boys want to take me to the cleaners...not gonna happen!!

Every once in awhile it will get a surge in speed, then if I let off on the accel it will subside and return to normal. I have had to pull over because the engine would drop out with no warning??

Any ideas??? Anyone???

Thanks in advance!!

Well, tried tapping on the MAF sensor did not drop the engine into a coughing fit as I had hoped(in order to remedy my situation). I guess next thing is to look at PCM/ECM and give IT a rap and hope that this is my solution??

Anyone with any solution feel free to offer...Thanks!
