hooked this up to my 96 blazer and had no misfires what so ever no codes anything.. but the timing seemed a bit odd to me, maybe i am wrong. the readings where -25.** to -35.** according to the amount of gas i gave it.
is that normal for the blazer.
if you all rermember i am the one thats been having the problems weith the blazer not wanting to start when it wants to. it has a mind of its own.. i replaced the fuel pump the crank sensor.. i replaced the coil a couple days ago and it hasnt acted up yet but i am thinking it will.. just dont know when its going to act up

i know on my 94 you have to disconnect a wire under the glove box area to get the correct reading. it's normal for the advance to work when rpms change.

The 95 ODBII is computer controlled. It can't be timed. The swings you see are normal as air/fuel is mixed, the knock sensors working, and a few other things.

Actually it was changed somewhere towards the end of the production year for 95, and some of the later ones were actually OBDII. Also there seems to be some that is a cross between I and II.

OBDII will have the ECM on the passenger side mounted above the radiator overflow tank.

Thanks, That is the way it is on mine, and it is vin code W. When I try to get parts they like to tell me it is a '96. especially the electric EGR valve.
I am interested in getting one of those scan gages for the fuel mileage and trip reports. I think it may pay for itseld in increase mpg.
