Hi.. anyone has any experience in doing this kit. Is it a curbside kit or does it include engine?? I saw it on Revell site, but too bad I don understand german.
Does it have fitting problem?? Cos most kits from Revell Germany seems to have fitting problems.. Any1 can comment on this?? Thks.

I donīt think that Revell exported this kit to Australia or New Zealand.

I didn't really like the fit of the kit too well. I've already been pampered too much by Tamiya:D But it's not a bad kit. If you want a better looking 3 series, just go for the dragon M3 or the hasegawa 318i or 320i kits. They don't have engine detail but the suspension detailing is good and the body is absolutely perfect. Oh yeah, if you do get that revell kit, you definitely need better rims for those and the decal sheet is badly printed.

The rims that come with the kit are not that great and they don't even look like the alpina rims. The design of the rims (with the big plastic backing) prevents you from having good brake rotor details. I decided to swap the rims out with a nice set of aoshima 18 inch BBS wheels and it turned out great

actually I have the alpina in the revell box. But tamiya did have a limited release of the BMW 325i a few years back. The tooling was from revell germany though. Correct me if I'm wrong guys. I do have the BMW 850i in a tamiya box but the tooling is also by revell germany. Sorry for the mix up.

whoa!? "rape" :hehehe:
looks better with a set of veil rims from fujimi though, than the stock. even the dragon alpina the rims look weird. on the box it says 17' rims, but it's only the same size as the miata mx5's rim around 15's. burn!

bri, tamiya 850i  for realz? kewl! the only company that i know did that is aoshima with the vw bus(revell). :D nwayz not sure, so no comment.
