Ok i installed my place racing shift linkage. I'm having trouble putting it on first gear. So what i noticed is that the 2 bars are rubbing against each other. I called place racing and they send they sent me the rite one. I don't wanna go through all that trouble to exchange it. Does anybody have this problem? Oh yeh i just ordered a dome washer for it so maybe it could be that but not sure? Please help. THanks

mine rubbed a lil too, i had to bust out the grinder since i had a short shifter, but with the stock shifter it will fit perfect. So im assuming that u have a short shifter!!

What is the point of replacing the shift linkage? What is bad about the old one?

If you're gonna drop a b series motor in there u need to custom ur shift linkage or buy the ones that are already customed. The stock will not fit on the b series.

the SiR linkage fit on my car, we didnt touch the length. We test fitted and realized it would work. it sits a little farther back, but no interference. HASport mount kit was used.

Hey having HCP mounts doesn't have anything to do with the shift linkage rubbing does it?
