I have a '97 Accord with about 97k miles on it. Over the past couple months the car has been starting to feel really loose. It seems to have more body roll, feels almost floaty at highway speeds, etc.
Do any of you know what could be causing it to feel looser than before? How long do shocks usually last? It still has the oringinal shocks, so I'm wondering if they could be starting to go.
Any ideas?

If it has 97K on it, I'm sure that the suspension is worn out. I would buy some new suspension, and if you don't want to spend a lot, go to a junk yard or ebay.

Shocks I'd say definitely, springs don't wear out nearly as fast if ever, than shocks.

I second Shocks. Also, take a look at your suspension bushings, I assume you are still running the original Rubber bushings... they could be worn too.

i would lean more towards the shocks than the bushings, I have a 1996 with 130k and my suspension bushings are in fair shape. Your sway bar busings could be worn too.
