Hello,

I'd just like to invite local Northern NJ and NYC modeling enthusiast to visit my Meetup Group and sign up as a member. I've been active in several Meetup Groups and last year I decided to become organizer of a Scale Models group. I pay the monthly fee but only have three new members and would really like to make this worthwhile. It's free to sign up and there currently are no dues for being a member. Again, this is local to the North Jersey and NYC area and I hope to see some of you there. This is in no way meant to pull you away or try to replace AF since I'm usually active on this site, too. I just want to get local members together at least once a month to share their tips and show off their models.

Thanks,
Eric

I live in CT. Is that close enough, because I know the Tristate is usually NJ, CT, and lower NY.

I have nothing against CT modelers joining. Some people consider PA part of the Tri-State so they could join also. The point of Meetup Groups is to get people from the same areas to get together at least once a month at a restaurant or other location and share their interests. Anybody who can make it out one Friday, Saturday, or Sunday each month is invited.

The tristate I've always heard about was CT, NJ, and NY. I can't make it every month as during school I'm in upstate NY, but I'd like to try during the summer.

I have an idea for a meeting in March-

The NNL East is on the 25th.

I'm not exactly in the area, but I'll try to be there anyway.
