I was all set to buy a 2006 Sierra until I saw where it was assembled...Canada. I still remember a Jeep Laredo I had that was built there and I think everything on it had fallen off at least once. Anyone heard any negative feedback about Canadian built GMC's?:banghead:

They have been built there for some time, there are no issues other than the usual anecdotal situations any product generates.

Thats a Jeep problem, not a nationality problem.
My Canadian-made Cherokee is total shit, but my American-made (Toledo) Wagoneer was total shit too.
GM's Oshawa plants (Impala, Monte Carlo etc) have been rated highest in the world for GM plants and are two of the highest quality auto manufacturing plants anywhere, according to J.D. Power initial quality survey.
GM has been making cars in Canada for 80 years, just as good as the US made ones.
My Canadian made GMC van is a champ!
Your Sierra will be as good as any other GM truck.

I hope you're right. I said the hell with it and will probably pick it up Tuesday.
