Supercharger for Eclipse

I've heard of a Supercharger for the 4-cylinder Eclipse.
Supposedly it'll boost a stock engine up to 225hp.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
Anything good or bad I should be worried about?
I'm thinking about getting this done in the next 6-10 months.
along with cold air intake, and full exhaust.
Let me know what you think.

Rite? If u wanna kno, its wut kind of Eclipse it is, like a Eclipse GSX stock comes with turbo, i kno bcuz i have 1. So rite now i already put an cold air intake plus exhaust a better turbo, but get turbo, bcuz supercharger for eclipse only raises da hp like 10 to 20 hp higher when it kicks in at around 5000 rpm. with new turbos for my eclipse, it raises like 40-50 around 6500 rpm on dyno, my eclipse gsx has around 320 hp rite now.

I guess the first thing you need to do is figure out what kind of performance you want, superchargers are nice they are a bolt on quick improvement however it is belt driven and boost is controlled by RPM of the motor, requires no intercooler, vacuum lines or pressure relief valves, so in the long run youre looking at a cheeper performance upgrade. On the other hand you have the exhaust driven turbo, this is some what of a costly upgrade and requires alot of wrench work the upside to this is that since it is exhaust driven you recieve max boost at around 2-3k RPM and maintain that as long as you have throttle, not only that but with the turbo you are open to alot more options to boost the performance of your ride, i.e. larger intercooler, 3" downpipe, Boost controller, and so on these are just some things to think about befor dropping some change on upgrading your ride. All and all I prefer turbo system, more boost for your buck.

I think supercharging it could be a good idea because you could get a bigger pulley on the supercharger and have more boost and even more than 10-20 additional HP. but superchargers dont kcik in up at 5 grand, they kick in the second you hit the gas. not at full boost but it probably gets close to full boost by the tiem the turbo starts spinning.

You know what, IMO, superchagers are useless. They kill you gas mileage, and they work off the engine. The turbo is superior in every way. You want to talk about turbo lag? There are ways to get rid of turbo lag. Forget the super, if you have the money get a turbo.

ok, if you are running a large turbo at high boost, how do you get rid of the lag?

with a pro-charger u sacrifice hp to gain hp. go for a turbo and ur looking for 16g or 20g turbo. a big plus with turbos is low maitenance and all that free hp. and u might wanna upgrade to the denzo 550 injectors so u won't detonate and a fmic to keep intake temps down the cooler ur intake temps the better the boost u can get. then any type of boost gauge will work but its up to u , all personal preference. i have a friend of mine thats sellin a 16g turb for $150 bucks and u won't need new injectors
