2003 Sonoma Stereo Swap Out

My Father bought a used 2003 Sonoma that had just a AM/FM stereo and wanted to swap it out. I found and installed a Cd/Cassette/Stereo from a wrecked 2003 Sonoma and installed it. It played for a few seconds and then turned off and has "LOCKED" displayed on the LCD panel.

Is there any way to rest the stereo or to disable this without hauling it to the dealer to have the radio reset?

You need to swing by your local GM dealer parts dept. They will ask for the codes and then give you a permanant unlock code.
