I noticed my rpm's on my '01 Deville are running about 700 when warm and about 1100 when cold. Is that right? The reason I asked is my car wouldn't stay running unless I kept my foot on the gas. I took it to the shop and they cleaned the throttle body. It's running now but I noticed the rpm's were low. Well, I believe they were low because I never really payed attention to them.

Yes, that sounds about right. The RPMs are usually higher when an engine is cold to help keep it running and warm up quicker. The car runs fine after the throttle body cleaning, right? It's real easy to do if you want to save the dealer cost next time. Just let me know, I'll tell ya how!
