more power

i have a 95 max that is reasonably fast but not fast enough. i havent found any v6's around here that can beat me but i want to go after those damn mustangs. i havent tried yet. every performance shop i talk to says i have to send my computer off to get the power boost chip. i dont find that acceptable. someone should be able to send me the chip. any suggestions. and what kind of power increase can i expect. :bandit:

You have to send out your whole ECU to either Cattman or JWT performance. They have to reprogram it entirely and its a huge hassle to do. For performance wise and the money get an intake, y-pipe and exhaust. That will give you the most bang for your buck. The computer reprogramming costs 500-600$ US to complete. After the y-pipe id reccomend looking into a stronger clutch and an Underdrive pulley. That Outta put you with the stangs

Hell if you own a maxima your allready a head of the damn Crustangs..... if you dont think so see how those FoMoCo shitboxes on wheels do in the corners.... then you'll realize ford forgot to desginn them Crutangs to turn......

Cattman will send you and ecu and charge you a core and you have like 15 days to send your old one back. You might look into that but you are looking at some serious money. If you are boosted or gassen is when you will get the most out of an ecu upgrade because they can tune it for you to get the most out of those.
