Hello, I recently had my 5 speed trans go out. I took it apart to only find it needs just bearings it has 200,000 miles on it. Syncros, gears, and shafts all in top shape. My question is this where do I find the 2 main shaft bearings and the differential bearings? Also does anyone here have an exploded view of these transmissions that I could get from you? I am having a heck of a time finding anything on this transmission. Any help greatly appreciated!

Just turned mine in for the core charge and don't know your compatibility. They wouldn't do emissions testing without a 2nd gear and that's all that was wrong with it as far as I could tell. Considering rebuilding, I learned there's a "3rd" book of the 2 book set for 96 Metros (1.3/1.0l, 2/4dr, AT/MT...) separately available.
1996 Transmission/Transaxle/Transfer Case Unit Repair Manual
GMPT/96-TURM
For just an exploded view, as that's about all they give you in the 2-book set and even though my digital camera just fritzed out, you'd do best to drop the near $30 for the 2-book set and be much better off.
Tip: Change 96 in the manual # to the year of your car.
