I have 2000 z71 that I bought used. The front end is substantially lower than the rear. Why is this? Springs, torsion or lift - which is the best way to gain 3" or so?

Front ends are made lower to compensate for heavy loads in the bed of the truck..that way the truck rides level when you actually have stuff in the bed of the truck.you can either just throw some 70lb sand bags in the back to level it out, or adjust torsion bars..All chevy's ride nose-down..

If you do adjust the torsion bars, you will need a front end alignment afterwards.
