Car rental places are a**holes!

well at least their policy is asshole, probably thought up by an asshole.

you can just walk in and rent a car at 25 with a major credit card

but if you get in an accident and you need a rental while your shit is getting fixed, you need to be 21... lol, 58 days till im 21, i cant rent a f-ing car! wdf?

anyone know of a rental place in the NJ, Trenton area that will rent to ppl under 21?

the bitch that caused the accident was 17 and from PA, driving her parents car. so now my cars all screwed up (not as bad as hers) but still my car was a decent looking car untill she decided to go crusing to NJ with her underage crew, they was prob looking to score some pot, now its time to get my car fixed and i cant get a rental, how the f am i supposed to get to work? its no problem for her parents they have 2 cars (exactly the same) the insurace company had to use the vin number to figure out which one was in the accident.

they should rent me their 17 year old daughter so she can piggy back my ass to work.

HAHAH thats hilarious...the piggy back thing not your situation....the problem is that there is no real driving education going on in this country. Other countries have much stricter requirements when it comes to getting a license to drive.

here in md they just raised the age limit to 18 for getting a license w/ all new restrictions (i got my license at 16 so it doesn't apply to me, yay). old people are just as bad as damn kids in my area.

i would have been pissed as well. o here i think they raised the age for getting a learners to 16 and one month (thats when i got my license) and u have to have like 60hrs of drive time instead of 40. u also have to keep it longer also.
there aren't any rental car places around here that will rent to people under 21 (but u can get a job there driving cars from location to location if ur 18). think ur only option is to have someone over 21 co-sign for u.

Which places did you try? Keep looking, there's gotta be a place around here that will rent to you...

ok, i took my car to get a estimate, the guy is gonna have to do a value check, my car might still be totaled, now if they total it, do i get blue book value of the car before my accident or after? if its before im gonna get like 1200 or so... the place where i got the cav, has a 90 fire bird for 1599 - enough said :D im not sure how many miles it has on it, i gotta double check that it has a v8, but if its atleast got a V8 its as good as mine by monday (if the cav is totaled) it has been sitting there for awhile, the only reason it hasnt been sold is becasue either it has no price on the window or ppl think its to much...

oh and update on the rental car shit, the insurance place (state farm) got enterprise to bend their policy a lil bit for me.

edit: i might not even need a rental after all (see above post)

well my cav is a total loss, just got off the phone with the estimate dude, now i gotta wait for state farm to call me back and let me know whats gonna happen, man so much for keeping my 1st car.

kinda, even tho i dont need it, i would have only needed it if my car was going into the shop to be repaired but it ended up getting totaled so i no longer need the rental, but state farm got enterprise to bend their policy a lil bit and i got a call from enterprise telling me that they have a car put on the side for me i just gotta let them know when i want it.
