I just bought a brand new pair of Michlin LTX MS's and got them balanced and had an allignment and they humming like crazy. Shortly before I got the older set of tires taken off, they started humming and I thought that maybe that was because there was not much tread left. But these new Michlins are humming like crazy with a perfect allignment. Any ideas?????

Are you sure it's the tires? If the hum started with the old set and is still there, it may be something else.

I noticed a big increase in tire noise when I got rid of the stock Generals and put on a set of Michelin LTX ATs. It's taken a while to get used to. Great tires, though.

They are super quiet on my truck. On a previous truck I had what seemed like tire noise but it ended up being bearing noise from the rear diff

I replaced the passenger tires on my truck with LT Michlins and because of the more aggressive tread design they make a bunch of noise and because of the higher tire pressure they are alot more bouncy. They are great tires though and I've never got stuck with them.

My Michelin LTX MS's are 35x12.50x15 on my new 81 k10, and they are noisy too!

The bigger the tire, the thicker the tread that louder they are. Ever seen a guy driving by with some 35 super swampers or the like? You can here him humming all the way down the road.
