Coolant...I put in the green stuff ??!!.....

not knowing that I should use dex cool. That was 18 mos and 40k miles ago. Should I change it to dex cool now? Did I do major damage? No leaking..............yet.

Also, do I have to go to the dealer to get the leak stop tablets?

Well my man mixing those too coolant will cause it to turn into a jelly type of substance. It's really not lookin good but i definitely would go back unless u get flushed. I would jus use universal and call it a day. Also universal lokks green also, are u sure that wasn't what u put in?

Thanks for the info Smoothe. I did completely flush the system when I put the other in. I replaced the radiator at the same time. I will try to find out whether I put in universal or not. I know the coolant was Prestone in the blue plastic gallon.
