So I was Looking at a 95' Z28, it has 91k mls, real sharp!
I'd say its in Good condition with no visable problem ares.
They are asking $5500, does that price sound about right for a Z28?
Kelly Blu book said around $4800 from an individual(which it is) not a dealer.
Anything in paticular I should be aware of?
Any input would be appriciated, Thankx in advance!

Yeah, that doesn't sound bad, but I'm sure you can always talk them down to 5k

I was thinking of starting at $4500 or a little less.
They've had it sitting for 2-3 months, maybe they'll bite. I dont know if its a automatic or manual(didnt really look yet), but it is a 5.7, thats the 350?
Its green, which is better than RED!
Gooing to driv it tomarrow, wish my luck!

If he doesn't know if it's M6 or A4 I doubt he'll know what options it has just yet.
Sounds pretty good. Make sure you find out maintenance things. Optispark and waterpump are good things to ask about.

Damn you guys are quick!
Thankx!
Ya I hav driven by this car at least 100 times and I always thought it might look good in my drive :) But since you guys say its an LT1.., Its as good as mine!
But I havnt actually stoped and rubbed it down just yet, though I could... But I did speak with the owner on the teli and told them I'd be by tomarrow. So most likly I will buy, unless its been totalled or a damn salvage title(what a nightmare!).
And Thanks again, to all of ya!

Can't always go by the book value. Thats a averaged selling prices. A car in excellent shape for its year will be worth slightly more. I would get it but expect to pay closer to 5K than 4500. Either way good luck with it, 95 was a great year.

Well I went and check it out. Drov and rode great. Interior was in ok shape for a 95', nice after market radio. Was an automatic, with some real get up and go!
It'll peel out, thats for sure! :)
And they are asking 5k not 5500. so I'm going to think it over tonight and If they take $4600, I'll be the proud owner of a Z28.
Had an older Camero, 76' . Had a punny 6cyl when I bought it, took that out and put in a 69' 327 B&B. Was a F****** demon from Hell! Couldnt keep it on the road for shit when you got on it. Must hav put 3 tranys in it(autos) then I yanked the motor and sold it(pos).
It was in need of loving I couldnt giv,Lol
Thanks again Guys for your help. If I'm in need of support I know where to look.

Well to up date things, When I drov the car the first time the tires were really low and it was a short driv. The chick I talked to didnt know anything about it. So I went back after her husband was home.
After airing up the tires and letting it warm all the way up their was some SE lights on in the dash.
If some one has this model of Z could you please post a pic of the cluster lit up(so I can be certain what I'm dealing with)?
One was the ABS Mop , ?, On the left side of cluster, and one on right, which the guy told me it was traction control(wasnt working?).
So it drov like shit! Has 17" rims LP tires, steering wheel had been broken and jery rigged(good, didnt even notice till I was told). It pulled REALLY BAD to the right and had a bad Shimmy in the front. When you pushed the gas hard, slow speeds or fast, the right rear seems to drop or squating, something funny. I checked the springs and they didnt look broke.
Has a new trany which seemed fine for setting, a year! I didnt even see it till 3-4 months ago. Guess they had it somewhere else trying to sell it. But it shifts a little stiff and hard even when I wasnt pushing the throttle more than 1/4 down. When I stood on it it shifted softer.
I hav worked on these Z28 before, its just been a loooong time, lik 8-9 years  So I'm a little rusty at the details I should know before comitting to buying this car. Its a straight car, no dents dings or no flaws in paint. They are throwing in the factory rims, wow!
I would really appreciate all your guys help , and input on what you think about the deal.
Thanks JC

to say the least! But I am still considering buying it, depending on what I estimate the repairs are going to cost me.

I say either talk him way down or keep shopping. Sounds like it wasn't taken care of and will end up giving you headaches. Me, I love challanges and would probably end up buying it if the price was right but I'm a dumb ass (ask around they will tell you)

be sure that u know what u r getting yourself into. Their r better deals out there u just have to look. for 5 g's you should be able to get 1 with no mechanical problems. I bought a 95 z28 with a m6, a recent tuneup that included waterpump and outspark a few induction goodies and suspention goodies for only 3500. it only has 114,000mi on it. I dont know if u have looked under the hood. the lt1 is pretty crammed in there, it is not exactly the funnest to work on. Just be sure that u know what u r getting into.

Thanks 95z28m6, I am aware of the sardine LT1 Lol
Just changing the plugs require a lift :) And I hav that cover'd. But I doubt I'm going to invest alot of time and $$ into it. I hav seen them in better shape for the same or less.
Ya , I would buy it, but it would hav to be like 3500-3600$ and thats still to much.
I think someones had it in the ditch and on of the rear springs hav turn'd or something. And the ABS light is probley the wheelspeed sensor but that traction control could turn out to be costly. Dono?
And thanks for the consultations guys.

ABS inop could be from either of the wheel sensor locations (the front wheels each have there own sensor then if you have 4 channel abs/traction control (I doubt this it was a pretty rare option that year) system both rear wheels have a sensor but you must likely have the more common three channel system which measures rear wheel speed via a reluctor ring on the differential. Then it could also be the abs module or a wiring/relay issue. Might want to have the abs system scanned to see what is setting off the code if you talk him down in price this is. Most expensive fix will be either of the front wheel sensors which will require changing the hub assembly.

I'm still on the hunt, and I'm sure I can find something in a nice Black, for the same price. Just hav to make some road trips.
I would like to Thank everyone for your help on this one.
