Various sketches made during class (pencil on lined paper)

So these cars were just sketches I drew during class. Which, in retrospect, was a bad choice. Seeing as this is finals week for 1st semester... And they were done in classes (ahem- chem. and math) that I cant afford to fail the finals in. Oh well.

These pics were taken on my cell phone camera, so excuse the image quality.

This first one is just a coupe. No brand associated. But you can guess as to what brand it could be. If you want. But you dont.

This is a Lincoln sedan I just sort of thought of. The wheels in the upper right hand corner are just me trying to see what fits on the car.

This is a Ferrari sedan. I came up with it in a dream a few days ago, but thats irrelevent. The shading might be kinda screwy because I'm not known for my shading. And I'm aware that it has no taillights.

This is a Cadillac STC coupe. It's designed to be a CLK cometitor sort of. But I'm sure theres some other cars in that segment.

Let me know what you think.

I love to do drawings on lined paper. Especially sketches it adds a raw feeling to it.

Thanks for the props. I have to say I really didnt think they were all that great. But I guess they are... And I agree with the lined paper comment Uncle Terry, thats true now that I think about it. Thing is, I only draw on lined papaer because thats all I have in my backpack at school...

But this one is not on lined paper.

I finished the math final and had 50 minutes to kill. So I figured "Why give this paper (for doing equations and whatnot) back to the teacher when I can draw AND not waste my own paper?". So here it is:

Its supposed to be a Rolls Royce coupe. And its partly based on the above "unnamed" coupe of mine. But it's surprisingly hard to get a coupe to not look light. I wanted it to look like a natural sibling to the Phantom, not a half-brother so to speak. The musclecar-hip was difficult to incorporate into the design without changing the whole rear end. But I guess its as good as it's gonna get without invoking mental pics of the Challenger Concept(roofline, C-pillar, hip, etc.). The lines around the wheels is supposed to be fender flares, but I drew them too dark and sort of look like a wheel well. Now that I look at it as a digi-pic, I have to say it looks better on paper.

I made a few minor changes when I got home:
-Colored the taillight and the headlight (which is extremly subtle)
-Clearifed the wheels, which are really F-ed up (especially the front one)
-The rims are heavily based off the Phantom's, the white part isnt a brake disc
-Made the C-pillar thicker. Which in a coupe is opposite what you want. But like I said above, it makes the car look heavier. You might be able to see where I erased previous ones. Oh, and I forgot to draw the "Flying Lady".

Now lets talk about what kind of car I was trying to make:
-Mabey the Phantoms V12, but the 7 Series V8 for sure to keep price down.
-Spun off either a lengthend 5 Series, shortend 7 Series, or shortened Phantom platform.
-Competes with the likes of the (obviously) Conti. GT, CL600, DB9/Vantage, and any other V8/V12 touring coupe in the $120k-$150k range.
-Has performance figs. around that of the Conti. GT.

If you have read all of this, I congradulate you. I'm rarely one to give short replys...sorry...

This pic isnt really one from class, but it's in my sketchbook for my art class. You can imagine I was happy to hear that we need to have a sketch in it every monday for points. Who would think that I would have to draw cars for homework...

Anyways, its a 2001 Ferrari 360 Modena F1 coupe that was owned by my dads cousin who lives in Orange County. I went out there in 2003 and got a ride in it. I only drew the car, but I was standing right behind the drivers side mirror (I didnt draw myselft cuz I suck at drawing people). So my dads cousin, Dennis, used to race Porsches in the 70's and 80's. Now he owns an ALMS team that races 2 GT3's (AascoMotorsports). Dennis took it up to 100 mph on the street. Fun. Anyways, here it is.

As always, this was taken with my cell phone camera. I think it looks a little better on paper, cuz the shading isn't very noticable here.
