I think he means what setting are the cam gears supposed to be at when you put on the timing belt. Or set the timing.

Go buy a book, you will need it--- ALOT.

Preferably in the head, over the lifters, rockers and springs...Do with the car OFF, very important.

put the number one cylinder to tdc. there will be a marking on your crank pully. then turn your cams till the markings on the gears line up. very self explanitory. then put the timing belt back on and everything should be lined back up. check and double check your timing to be sure though.
