Not sure how many of you remember me. It's been a while since I've been on here. Last time I remember I had just posted about me getting a 2000 Ford F-150 after I wrecked my 97 Dodge. I was on here a lot posting about problems with my Dodge. I've had the Ford for about a year now and the reason I haven't been back on the forums is because I haven't had much trouble with the Ford. I must say, it's a lot better than the old Dodge was, although I still miss the Ram. Had a little trouble with the air control valve on the throttle body, but a little bit of carburator cleaner spray fixed it right up. When I bought the truck it had original tires on it. Guess what kind they were: the recalled Firestone Wilderness ones that had blow-outs all the time. Well, I decided to take a 6 our trip to Tennessee last April and on the way back home I had a massive blow-out on the front-right tire and bent the rim. Cost $111 to replace. But other then that I haven't had much trouble. Replaced the brake rotors on the front, and that's about all the work the things needed. I've put about 14,000 miles on it now. She's doing good. I know I'm a traitor in this forum, but that Ford is damned good, guys.

Hello.
So what you're saying that on the Ford forums (if there is one) that there are no complaints or problems. Just praise? Hmmmmmm. :-)
Just kidding, I just happen to be a pure moparhead. I have a hard time even saying that "F" word.
I had a friend that bought a Ford Power-Joke diesel. It never got over 10mpg, ever. I think it spent more time in the shop that at his place, he was extremely happy to get rid of that one. We all have our good / bad vehicles.

Hey LT, does that Ford have hooks in front on the chassis/ If it does do you know what they are for? They are for tow chains so it can be pulled by a Dodge. lol

My father in law has a '96 Ford Power-Joke that he bought for towing his 28ft 5th wheel trailer. The only proplem he has with it (actually 2 lol) he thought he would get 18mpg while towing and he gets 9mpg and it breaks down everytime he tows anything (even my 1200lb tent trailer). Seems like it always costs $1000 or more to fix and we are stranded while it gets fixed. But he says it's a good truck (like all good Ford owners say). This summer he wants to tow his trailer down to Disney Land. We (wife and kids) are flying and staying in a Hotel, it is less stressful than taking the FORD b/c we are always Found On the Road Dead.
