I've got an "02 SE that when will periodically not start. We now have a pool every morning as to how many times i will atemt to start it before it starts. The car will crank (turn the key and try to start)anywhere from 4 times to as many as 24 times before it starts. But not all the time. Sometimes it will start immediately. It started immediately for the entire week it was at the dealership. They found no problems. I started the car this morning, it took 24 turns of the key to start, when it did start it was as soon as I turned the key(the 24th time) and then the car took a slight lurch forward. Just slight. I took the car right to the dealership without shutting it off to see if it threw a code but it did not. It only happens the 1st time you start it for the day, and then again, not always. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum! There is a lot of good information here, but to give you accurate help, we will likely need more information.
How comfortable are you working on cars? The best thing to do to narrow the search and suggestions down will be to determine if you have proper electrical system voltage, proper fuel pressure, not overly restricted air flow, and spark when the car won't start. If any one of those are out of tolerance, you could experience what you are.
When was the air filter last replaced? How about the fuel filter, has it been replaced recently? Have the spark plugs and plug wires ever been replaced? Ever used fuel injector cleaner (the type you pour into the fuel tank)?
Also, as a general rule of thumb, it is often beneficial to mention the engine that your car has (Duratech, 24V, etc). The questions in the previous paragraph are pretty generic, but there may be specific suggestions or common issues with specific engines that will come up if the engine is listed.
This forum also has a useful search feature. While waiting for additional suggestions and postings, you may want to search the forum for key words.
