Saving files from computer to mini sd card?? HELP!

I just got the LG vx8100 phone, and I bought a 256mb mini sd card for it so I could import mo3's, pictures, and video to the card, and play them on the phone. I'm using the sd slot in my computer to read the card.

Every time I try to save a file to the card though I get an error message saying "device is not ready" WTF?! How do I save to the card? My phone does;nt have any trouble saving to it though.

Try plugging in the card, disabling it, then re-enable it...Just guessing as I haven't had much experience with these cards. What operating system are you running?

pull the card out, look on the card to see if there is some sort of lock on it like you see on floppies.

I think the MiniSD cards have that, it might be on the adapter to go into a full size SD slot.

I bought a card reader/writer so now I can actually save stuff to it. Maybe my reader on the computer wasn't set-up to write? BTW it's awesome having all these pics,mp3's, and vids on my phone. :iceslolan Thanks for the help
