Speedometer Issues!!!!

I have a 99 GSR and its been a baby lately. I don't know what is up w/ it. The speedometer just stopped working after i was rodding on it a little. It used to just wait for me to slow down and reset, but tonight it didn't. I even briefly shut the car off to reset it, but no luck. Any suggestions???
