I have a 95 contour that isn't running. I've had to replace the engine and trans. Now the intake manifold needs to be replaced, and the so called mechanic that installed the trans screwed up the gear shifter so it doesn't shift smoothly, maybe the cable is twisted? not sure. Is it worth getting fixed or should I just part it out. I'm in a quandry as to what to do. I'd really like to sell it so if any of you know of anyone that might be interested, i'm selling it cheap. Thanks:banghead:

V6 or I4? Auto or 5spd? Sounds like its time to find another mechanic. I can't think of any reason(at least on the V6) that the intake manifold would need to be replaced.
If you decide to sell it or part it out, try the classifieds on contour.org.

Jason,
Thanks for the info. It's a 16v automatic. The intake manifold needs to be replaced because the idiot mechanic (a term I use loosely) broke the nipple off of it (or something like that, not sure) when he put the trans in. He tried to glue it back on but obviously didn't work. I'll try and sell it the way it is, don't have the cash to fix it. Thanks

No, he tried to glue the nipple back on the intake manifold which broke when he put the trans in. This guy is a total idiot. If the car were running, I'd run him over with it!!
