Can't see timing settings

The following picture shows the crankshaft timing indicator on my 93 S-10 Blazer.

My Chiltons 1983-95 Repair Manual does not show an exact example of what I have and whatever markings were there are not visible.

I’ve added abitrary marks to the picture (A,B, C etc.) and I’m hoping that the experts of this forum can please identify which mark is 0 Degrees, X-degrees advance, etc.

The under hood plate says that my timing should be set to 0 Degrees (TDC). That is with the computer timing bypass wire disconnected. On the 93, this is (according to Chiltons) a wire that “breaks out of a taped section just below the heater case in the passenger compartment”. The guy doing my smog test (which I failed miserably, fuel too rich) showed me the wire and its connector located behind the top edge of the carpeting on the passenger side.

"E" is TDC That's all you need to set ignition timing, the computer does the rest. (D, C, B & A usually increase in either 2 or 4 degree increments.)

Sand or scrape it off a little.
I can see the 0 mark in the picture. Right where D is pointing to.
E is not a marker but part of the strobe light holder.

I couldn't get my Dremmel in there to wire brush it so I taped a piece of sandpaper to a long dowel and cleaned off some of the rust. Now I've got another excuse to get a flexible shaft for my Dremmel.

The results, after a little retouching with Photoshop show the 0 mark (Line D in my previous picture) and timing marks every 2 degrees Before TDC from 0 thru 12.
