brake light-turn signal fuse factor

This morning I replaced the 15 amp brake light fuse (fuse #1) on my 95 taurus, started car, applied brakes, lights came on, and was able to shift out. Turned car off, went back 2 hrs later, applied brakes, started car and brakes came on for a moment and then the fuse blew again.

What's also weird is the manual states fuse 1 also supports the turn signals, but those are working fine at present. Last night however, the turn signals were not going on for the first 1/2 hr of driving. Just a solid green indicator light for the respective positions, then the problem cleared while driving, and I assume the brake lights went out at the same time or shortly thereafter.

So am i safe to presume the turn signals must not be wired as the manual states?

Lastly, I had a new right front side turn light put in at the valvoline oil shop 4 days ago. Everything worked fine until last night, I'm wondering if the wrong type of bulb might've been put in and triggered these probs? Something like that? But if the turn signals work, they must not be going through that fuse, unless they rollover to a backup fuse?

Any ideas on why it keeps blowing ?

Thought I'd share the fix action (for now!).

First off, no clue about why the turn signals continued to work, when the manual clearly states it utilizes the same fuse as the brake lights which kept blowing. I'd like to hear someone's ideas on that as a just curious...

Discovered the 10 amp fuse for the rear lights was also blown, suspect it was blown all along. Replaced that AND the 15 amp brake light fuse at the same time and it's survived multiple trips and full utilization of all other electrical devices.

So far so good. Hopefully this helps someone else who experiences a similar trouble.
