hey all
The other day my CEL came on it turns out to be the EGR valve. Last time it did that, I had a hose that got disconnected. Its not that. Took off all the hoses and cleaned them. All good. So my question is, should I replaced the EGR valve itself first, or the little sensor piece first? I don't want to spend alot, because I dont have alot $$$. Thanks.

Check the solenoid (sensor) for cracks around where the vacuum lines connect. That's what happened to me. :2cents: If you don't have emissions, the cheapest thing is to block the egr valve. If you can't do that, then IDK both of those useless parts cost more than I wanted to pay. :disappoin

But he has emissions so it won't work anyways lol. And if its the solenoid would still throw a CEL lol. SO David get ur ass back on and tell me if u still need it!

This might be a little off subject but I think it's related. I have been looking at the DC-Sports 4-2-1 header. I noticed that it says it is "without the EGR only". What does that mean? Sorry to sorta jack your thread david. :)

I have absolutly no clue because the header has nothing to do with the EGR.
