How to close the air louvers ?

Hi every body..

Any body knows how can I close the air louvers to prevent outside air from coming inside the car ?
I ususally push the recirculating button with a circle shown on it, but this cause to the A/C to start so I have to push the A/c button again to switch it off .
I feel this is not good for the A/C compressor.
