well i had bought this car it has sat since 2003, it was light sheet metal damage and never returned to insurance...Sat inside and outside these last 3 years...
Has 80k miles..I found in glove box a receipt for new motor, gaskets, clutch all that not sure of wheen tough..
So anyways i go to pick up this car and the stock radiator was take off cause top was busted and a used one was put on so they could move from place to place at the boneyard..
When i pulled the bottom hose off was like coolant not much and oily substance...Could this be from where they pulled off another car and used it as a temp radiator just to drive this car..
Also the OIL looked all sluggish and white looking...Not to thin at all..
Car runs sounds great no bad valve chatter or ticking...No smoke or watery susbtances coming from the exhaust...
Could this car have just sat to long outside and water got into the oil and whatnot...
I shut the car off and im gonna change all fluids asap on this car to be safe and hope a headgasket or anything isnt blown..
I let it run for about 10 mins or lil longer with clean coolant in it and the nasty oil it didnt overheat or anything...The heat blew out nice and hot and all..
ANy info on this or should i just change all fluid like i was going to and drive the shit out of it...Or go on and do a headgasket to be on safe side and all..
Any suggestions...

You should change all fluids first and foremost. Espically the oil and coolant, I wouldnt even drive the car until the oil is changed (except to warm it up). The engine has been changed before, the head gasket should be good. Change all the fluids first and then worry about the head gasket - if it burns coolant after you change it, then thats a sign of a leaking H.G., or if you notice water bubbles when you check your oil later.

yep i planned on getting it towed home...Changing out all the fluids and keeping a eye on it...
See ive studied up on a blown HG and it really dont have any signs besides the oil being nasty...But the car did sit 3 years unused...
I have the papers showing newer motor with new gaskets...could have actually had a HG put on but both the block and head surfaces wasnt cleaned properly causing it to leak again..read that a couple places..
The motor its self sounds great at idel no problems no smoke or water out the exhaust...
But thx for the info hopefully its nothing big...

Update
Well i got the car home last night..
Let it run for a couple minutes and moved it in the garge..
When i pulled the dipstick out to check the oil at the place i got it the motor was cold and the oil on the dipstick was white as can be..
Now when i got the car in and it was warmed up the oil is like a Brown gravey look...I took the valve cover off to see also..
Put all new oil in it..
But my other question is the car sat till MID 03 never ran...Has sat outside some of that time but runs great..
I bought a oil pan to drain all my oil into and it was a 7 Quart pan...Well i drained that full then at least another Quart into that pan once i emptied it...
If im not mistaking a civic only holds around 5 QT"S right...
Where the hell did the other 3 come from, could this be antifreeze in my oil and thats why the oil looks way it did, or somehow water leaked into the motor while it sat these almost 3 years without a hood on the car..
Any info...
Thx later

Civics actually only hold 4 quarts of oil. Keep in mind, that oil & water seperate, so you can easily tell if you have water in your oil. It's hard to tell at this point if there are any other problems, just keep an eye on everything for the next 1000 miles, espically how the oil looks and if any coolant is being used up.

Yea i started to thinking about oil-water seperating...So i left some oil in the oil drain pan i got just to let it sit and see what happens.
Topped it off with coolant today and drove it around for about 10 mins...Think ill use it for about 50 miles then do a oil change again and then rack the miles on it if its ok...Dont wanna use that oil i just put in for very long cause i know theres alot of gunk and all that will clean out and all from use...
Thx for info later
