Trunk Release probs

I'm having trouble with both the manual and remote releases.. i can hear the clicking sound when i hit the button or pull the switch, but the trunk does not pop open. I also tried resetting the lever by flipping it down then back up, but it still does not work. I think i may have caused this problem because i hit the open button when the trunk was already open.. :uhoh:

Any suggestions? Any help is appreciated! :thinkerg:

Go to your trunk take out the lining were the latch is at & inspect the cable it might have just become un-hooked!

Lube it when you fix it tighten any bolt's brackets or wires.

The liner should have some plastic pop screw's carefull depending on the age of your vehicle the will break if you do break some go to an auto parts stor & buy some they are cheap.

Your car is brand new, I'd just bring it to the dealer and have them take a look. I really dont think you could have caused the problem from what you described, but I wouldnt mention that to them anyway.. ;)

The trunk latch is bad. We've already replaced a few. You can adjust it to make it work for a little while. But, B-Boogie is right, it's under warranty take it in.

smae thing happened to me but it turned out one of my friends turned the valet thing on so the trunk wouldnt pop open ( or it is off?) ne wayz look in ur glove box and flip it the oppostie way it is now and try again. may work :D

The switch in the glove box only came on the p10. The 99+ g20's have it on the trunk latch itself.
