As the title says, I'm new... Glad to be here
Now to my question, I have a 96 CVLX P74. It has 65k on the clock and runs great. I just got the car and noticed one thing thats very odd and annoying.
If you go beat on it alittle, like just floor it a little bit the console emits a high pitched "EEeeeEEEE" is the best I can describe it. It seems to fade in relation to car speed. And if I turn on my ac, or turn it off if it where already on, the sound stops right away.. and may come back about 2-3 seconds later. Its very random. It has done it while just cruising but only a couple times. Anyone know whats up? do I need to take the car to the stealership?
Also my power mirrors move up and down but not side to side, would that be the little joystick controler or the mirror motors themselves?
Thanks a ton, Vics rule

Not sure on the noise. Both mirrors do the same thing or just one?

Well now that I've checked it out a little more, it seems the drivers side mirror will not move at all, passenger side will tilt up and down.. I think it tries to move side to side but if its moving then its super slow. So am I looking at new mirrors or a switch? Or what tests can I do to determine what is gone wrong?
Thanks for the replies every, and about the high pitched noise... even a far fetched suggestion would be awesome

Being that the two are different I would try spraying some WD40 behind the mirror glass while someone uses the switch to move them. You could move the glass by hand but be carefull not to break anything. Let us know.:)
