50 trim turbo for '04

would a new 50 trim turbo installed on a 2004 str-4 void the standing warranty?? A frined was asking about it and wanted to find more info on the subject.

yeah, pretty much. your radio warranty will still be good, but you can kiss your drivetrain and smog/emissions warranty goodbye

Yeah, it definitely would. I was told by my dealer, just don't change the turbo and you will be covered. Just hold out a couple years until your warrenty expires. And don't forget, 400tq on the factory turbo is possible:p , you don't always have to upgrade.

that much power means that the turbo is way overboosted and out of its effeciancy. its not going to last long at those numbers. plus a 50trim is easier to get power out of. but i agree with you. im making good power on my stocker. just waiting for my standalone before more power comes
