FInished this one off tonight.... All the details are complete. I made a new rollbar out of Detailmaster solid #5 fitting line polished to a chrome like finish and carefully assembled to the car. If you look close you can see all the body snap rivet heads for the tonneau cover these cars had as an option. I hope you all like it. I think the owner of the 1:1 will be pleased!!

agreed, it looks very fresh and very clean, just as it should be!
nice orange too!
And particularly liking the little bolt-thingies that are there to fasten the cover, great eye for detail!
Oli (only regret maybe is that the chrome on the rims is a bit too blingy, but hey)

Looks great! No one should ever say again, you can´t make a perfect model from a Revell kit. ;)
You´ve chosen a very unusual colour, but i like it. Different, less shiny wheels would make it look even more realistic. Maybe a light washing?:iceslolan

Like I said before, this is the car I tried to replicate in the pic below... the wheels are not dirty, and they are high lustre polished aluminum, almost like chrome plating... this is what I tried to achive.... I did put a black wash in the lug nut holes. BUt if I black washed the wheels, they simply would have looked "Dirty" in my opinion.

Like I said before, ...
Yes, i did read it and also your progress thread. Just my :2cents: ;)
Did you take those Mustang wheels OOB, or did you strip them and used Alclad? "Polished Alu" or "Stainless steel" looks only a bit different to Kit-chrome-parts but in a way much better, thinner, covering less detail.

That is the kit chrome which was very good imo.... Alclad chrome would never look as shiny as those 1:1 wheels in my opinion....
