Headlight help

Does anyone know if the long metal rods that the white blocks are attached to on the inside of the headlights come with a new headlight if ordered? If you pull out the tabs and pull the headlight out a ways to replace a bulb you have to line all of the metal rods up with the slots. Mine are really loose and I'm afraid they will break or come off. Maybe they are supposed to be loose, I dont know. Also, how can I adjust the headlight up or down because the screw or metal rod or white block is stripped. I even tried with pliers to turn it. The screw turns but the headlight does not move. I have no idea what else to try or even buy to fix this.

I do not know for sure but if you are ordering the whole assembly they might come with it, I would ask when you order the headlight. Those are your headlight adjusters, if one is stripped then you will have to replace it. Even if you are able to move it to a point that it bites you are most likely going to be so far out of adjustment because in this case a little movement at the light assembly equalls a great amount of movement out in front of the car.

Again I would just double check when you order the parts you need to make your repair. But in your case I would make sure you get at least one to replace the stripped out adjuster.

Good luck.

I used a 7mm socket and pushed the headlight back while I turned it and it caught the threads again and I was able to adjust the beam. Thank you for your help and suggestions Hoags!
